(1) DOROTHYL (Mystery Writers List)
DorothyL is an unmoderated discussion and idea list in digest form for the lovers of the mystery genre. Everyone is welcome. Those who wish to adopt the name of a mystery character, may use that name in messages. The list owners are Kara L. Robinson (AKA Danger Mouse) and Diane K. Kovacs (AKA Harriet Vane). (2) WRITE - Writer's Internet Exchange
This mailing list was developed for advanced or published authors with the purpose of helping them share their work, offer and receive criticism, and pass along useful and timely information on the craft. There are no fees or costs associated with joining WRITE. Those writers wishing to join this list should email a human readable message to Janet Kent (jkent@writelinks.com), or send the completed agreement form found on the WRITE Web site. WRITE is not a list for beginning writers.

(2.5) REWRITE
REWRITE is a private, moderated mailing list for writers of all levels of experience and all forms of writing. We particularly welcome new emerging writers who are sincerely interested in developing their writing skills. REWRITE members may be new writers, but they are sincere about their writing efforts. Writing may not be bringing in the major portion of their earnings yet, but REWRITErs do consider their writing as work, not playtime. It is closed to nonmembers. Those writers wishing to join this list should send the completed agreement form found on the REWRITE Web site.

(9) NOVEL WRITERS WORKSHOP
The Novels list (Novels-L) is for submission and critiques of novel-length fiction. Novels are posted in parts: no more than 4000 words per post - and no more than 3 chapters at a time. The author should provide a synopsis with the first submission in order to help readers write their critiques. (11) CHILDREN'S WRITING LIST

The list is open to anyone with an interest in writing or drawing for children.

(12) THE GARRET
"The Garret," The Enclave Writers' Network and Support Group forum, is a moderated Internet mailing list for the posting of articles announcing writing contacts and opportunities, group meetings, events, etc., for writers in the San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas. To subscribe to this list, send the following message: "JOIN GARRET" to server@nocturne.boulder-creek.ca.us. All types and genres of writing are acceptable as the subject of posts, but purely commercial announcements are discouraged. Articles announcing writers' seminars and events are acceptable. A digest of the posted articles and announcements is mailed to all subscribers several times each week. Users at other sites may also post local writers' meetings and events -- without subscribing to the mailing list -- by sending e-mail announcements to: garret@nocturne.boulder-creek.ca.us, or to: garret@nocturne.sbay.org.

(13) GIANT PEACH
GIANT PEACH is the UK mailing list for writers and book illustrators. The main emphasis is on children's books, but writers of all genres and age groups are welcome. Writer On Line is a newsletter/ezine that offers articles, columns, news, marketing tips, and key resources for writers of all kinds. Subscription is free and you may unsubscribe at any time. To subscribe, go to the Writer On Line Web site.

(20) NOVELDOC
An online workshop in which novelists critique and revise their completed drafts of 60,000 words or more. Also tips, primers and talk on technique and marketing. Guidelines and an application form are available on the NovelDoc web site or contact J. R. Lankford via email at jilla1@wt.net.

(21) WORLD-BUILDING
An email-based discussion group with more than 150 subscribers from around the globe. The group discusses World-building, the process by which someone creates a fictional world -- a place that exists, but only in the imagination. The list is available in both normal and digest versions; instructions for subscribing can be found in the Membersip Area of the World-Building Email List web site or contact the List Administrator via email: Chad Ryan Thomas.
